Entry 46 Birthday Party Insanity!

Zoe was invited to one of her classmates birthday party and this deserves to be blogged about! I am not sure what overwhelmed me the most: the DJ, the cotton candy/popcorn machines, the magic show, the bouncy castle, the people hired to organize games, the two foot tall cake with mini pyrotechnic show, the nannies all following their kids around while the mothers sat and had tea, or the parting gift (which happened to be the same gift we brought for the birthday boy...how embarrassing!). Over all it was an interesting experience!

The magic show!

The magician!

My Zozo!

Some of the kids at the party (yes, I was also overwhelmed by the amount of kids invited!)

Zoe and her teacher Ms.Lena. She drove us and I had someone to talk to!

The Nannies!

The unsupervised bouncy castle. At one point there was at least 10 kids on this thing and I was waiting for a neck injury to occur!
The Ben-Ten birthday cake.

I was sure we were going to have to rush a child to the hospital with first degree burns. The kids were all standing around the table trying to lick the icing while flames shot out of Ben-Ten. (Who is Ben-Ten anyway??)

We were at another party last weekend. It was a pool party and I didn't have time to take pictures since I was making sure Zoe didn't drown or get jumped on by the 20 other non-swimmers crammed into the shallow end. Good times! We are looking forward to simple parties in Dartmouth!

Wow - craziness indeed! I can't believe the nannies were given food and chairs. That's a sure-fire way to spoil the help.
The cake inspired me to google Ben-Ten. I learned it is actually “Ben 10” and it’s an American cartoon on the Cartoon Network. Here’s the plot summary:

When ten year old Ben Tennyson, his cousin Gwen, and their grandfather Max are on their summer camping trip, Ben finds an alien pod on the ground. When he examines it, he finds a mysterious, watch-like device called the Omnitrix. The device attaches itself permanently to his wrist and gives him the ability to transform into a variety of alien life-forms, each with its own unique powers. Although Ben soon realizes that he has a responsibility to help others with these new abilities at his disposal, he is not above a little super-powered mischief every now and then. Along with Gwen and Grandpa Max, Ben embarks on a summer-long adventure to fight evil, both extraterrestrial and earthly.

Wow. More than you needed to know, I'm sure! :)
