#22 Finally....

I am happy to say that I have been receiving a few emails asking where my blog updates are; I guess this means that people are actually reading my blog on a somewhat consistent basis.
I will apologize for the lack of entries. We are without a computer or Internet at our apartment and I find it difficult to squeeze in blogging time at school between teaching, meetings, extra help and clubs. So I have about 10 minutes to finish this blog before another after school meeting starts.

Here is what is new....

Christmas break was awesome! It was so nice to be home and surrounded by family, friends and Halifax/Dartmouth after four months of everything being so new. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The good news is we were ready to come back (which I think is a good sign). Living out of a suitcase for a month can be tiring. The flights, both there and back, were excellent. There were no head injuries. However,we did get some strange looks since Isaac was decked out in a hockey helmet and pads. :)

Since we have been back we have had parent teacher meetings and another report card go out; and as all teachers know that is a busy time. I have enjoyed meeting my student's parents and learning a little more about the people of Kuwait (and Egypt and Lebanon, and Syria and all the other countries my kids are from) .

Having the car has made a huge difference to our weekends. We can get out and about now and not have to rely on our new friends. There is a great walk along the Gulf (see pictures from previous blogs) that we get to at least once a weekend. Zoe is also biking a lot and we need to buy a tricycle for Issac. The weather has been beautiful and we need to get the kids out as much as possible before it becomes unbearable. By mid-April it will be too hot to go outside. Right now it is usually about 15 degrees at the hottest point of the day.

We are in the process of planning our next trip on Spring Break. We were originally thinking of Egypt but the break is not long enough to do Egypt properly so we have decided on Jordan. Everyone we talk to say that Jordan is a must see. We will be celebrating Isaac's 2nd birthday while there, which is pretty cool way to spend your second birthday.

I am sorry about the lack of pictures but the whole computer thing is really slowing my blogging down. I hope to be back in full force in the next week.

Must go attend my meeting!
Cheers
